Favourite books of 2016

Hey, guys! The end of 2016 is fast approaching which means it's time for another favourites post. To mix things up this year I've included my ship from each book, unless ofc I didn't have one. (FYI: Just because I ship them doesn't mean they are/will be a thing.) So, without further ado here it is, my favourite books of 2016! 🙌
  • A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir - Elias & Laia
  • Shadowcaster by Cinda Williams Chima - Jenna & her dragon, but not in a romantic way, of course. 😉
  • Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff - I was in this for the action and humour, I didn't really care about the romance, to be honest.
  • Dark Waters by Robert Bryndza
  • The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon - Warden & Paige
  • Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte - Agnes & Edward
  • Truthwitch by Susan Dennard - Aeduan & Iseult

Have any of these made it to your faves? 😊

  1. Ah, awesome list! I really enjoyed A Torch Against the Night and The Dark Days Club as well! I've had Gemina on my shelf since my pre-order, but I haven't picked it up yet and I have no idea why. :O I also just got Truthwitch from my digital library, so I'm really looking forward to reading that. I really want to check out a lot of the other books on your list as well - it looks like it's been a year of great books! :)

  2. I haven't read Gemina yet! I need to prepare for the new characters, I'm never a fan of POV changes halfway through series. Really enjoyed A Torch Against the Night though, and Truthwitch! Really looking forward to reading A Song Rising as well.

  4. I really NEED to read Illuminae soon (so I can get into Gemina also An Ember in the Ashes!!). I'm currently reading The Dark Days Club and it's an okay read for me (and I love its descriptive writing. it really brings me to its time period)

  9. I didn't get to Dark Days Club in 2016 but all of my best blogger friends recommended it - one even bought it for me LOL - so I WILL read it soon. I adored Illuminae in 2016 but I didn't get to GEMINA either so that's another high priority one :)
